In his new book, released April 1, author Josh Silver takes a hard look at the effectiveness of the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) and clearly lays out what needs to be done to CRA and its regulation to improve outcomes. Ending Redlining Through a Community-Centered Reform of the Community Reinvestment Act was launched at the 2025 National Community Reinvestment Coalition Just Economy Conference March 26-27 at the Washington Hilton Hotel, Washington, DC.

NCRC is a network of organizations and individuals dedicated to creating a nation that not only promises but delivers opportunities for all Americans to build wealth and live well. The Just Economy Conference features stakeholders, including community-based organizations, banks, and public officials and is dedicated to exploring ways to promote neighborhood revitalization and reinvestment, affordable housing, and economic development in America’s overlooked and vulnerable communities.
